Sure, calorie calculation is great, but weight control, especially during weight loss, really, really needs a scale. In Poland, I had an ordinary Chinese scale. They only showed my weight. I didn’t weigh food or count calories. At first, the scale was like feedback that showed me whether I was in a calorie deficit or not.

My scale is in Poland.
Yes, many trainers and YouTube reviewers don’t recommend weighing yourself every day, but I weighed myself and that’s how I approximated my diet. It’s comfortable for me. The main thing is that I am not complex and do not get upset if the arrow of the scale shows a big side. If so, well, a little wrong with the portion, you need to make a smaller portion this time or increase the fiber. Or maybe it’s just water, there are always options. I usually weigh myself once a day, in the morning on an empty stomach.

This is the first photo taken in Belgrade.
Now, when I came to Serbia, I didn’t have a scale, but my body had already adapted to keto and interval fasting and I could do without feedback at first. I could feel it, but as they say, feelings are deceiving. Admittedly, it felt like I wasn’t losing weight but was on the same track or even gaining. Visually the belly did not shrink. At the same time, I did not reduce the portions, because I was afraid that I would not have enough calories for daily work. I started experimenting with local products. It seems to be the same as in Poland, but there are nuances.

Minimalist elegant box design. I bought the scales on the popular Serbian marketplace Ananas.
Obviously, this approach to weight estimation was wrong and very subjective. So after I had settled in a bit, I immediately ordered a scale. My choice fell on Mi Body Composition Scale 2. As it seems to me that it is quite a decent solution for someone like me. Why them? There was a discount and, perhaps, I do not need high accuracy of measurements now, I can save money. It’s still better than buying a regular scale.

There’s a scale inside.
I like the design of the scale, but the app is rather poor, although it copes with the basic functionality. As a result, I now know more precisely my calorie needs for the day.

Quality workmanship of the body, a combination of glass and plastic.

It is possible to see that the legs are the sensitive element of the scales.

Most importantly, there were no batteries in the box. I just couldn’t put in any AAA batteries. I wanted minimalism. Yes, I like the performance and quality and, yes, the price of Jysk batteries.

Aesthetic and minimalist style.

That’s what it’s all about. Yeah, it’s a joke, but it looks great.

Hooray, they’re alive. And I’m slowly losing weight.

The scale app is installed from the Chinese site, has a very simple design, however, it copes with its task. And if you have a fitness bracelet from Xiaomi, compatible with this application, you can add and its registered parameters.
As an interesting addition to the functionality – the ability to analyze balance. You need to stand on one leg and close your eyes. It would seem that this is simple, but at first it was difficult for me.

From the screenshots it is clear that the application allows you to evaluate personal fitness level. It is important to emphasize that this is not a medical device, so the indicators should be taken as informational. But I admit that it is convenient.
Overall, I liked my scales. They are aesthetically pleasing, convenient, and help to understand what is happening to the body during dieting or physical activity. If I had to choose, the more accurate Xiaomi Body Composition Scale S400 model is currently relevant, or the very simple and budget version Mi Smart Scale 2 or its new model Xiaomi Smart Scale S200, which only measure weight. However, I was quite satisfied with my option in terms of price and quality.
Like I said before, I didn’t calculate calories, I didn’t weigh food. However, now I’m already missing it. Therefore, since I haven’t bought a kitchen scale yet, as soon as ChatGPT learned to analyze the plate by picture, I immediately started actively using Artificial, I call it that. Of course, it’s all approximate and inaccurate, but in general it’s enough to approximate how many calories I have in my plate.

The image was generated using artificial intelligence – ChatGPT by OpenAI. But the text is completely mine, except that I translated it with my Artificial and not only.
